Project Collaborations. Bespoke Commissions. Vintage Restorations

PROJECT COLLABORATIONS

We partner with interior designers, architects, builders, hospitality teams, and private clients to develop solid-brass hardware and decorative details that elevate spaces. We adapt our collections or create project-specific components, supporting you through design intent, sampling and approvals, production with hand finishing, and clear installation guidance.

How We Collaborate

We welcome collaborations of any scale and timeline: renovations, kitchens, cabinetry and furniture, wardrobes, bathrooms, hospitality, and commercial projects. We coordinate milestones and approvals to deliver smoothly and professionally.

We integrate into your project workflow, aligning with your schedules and approvals so our pieces arrive when they are needed. Whether you select directly from our current collections or opt for adjustments through our Bespoke Services, we adapt to your timeline and requirements. This flexibility allows designers, architects, contractors and all clients to specify our hardware with confidence, knowing we can synchronize production and delivery to match construction and installation milestones.

Our work supports a wide range of applications. Typical Project Scopes:

  • Residential projects: kitchens, custom cabinetry, wardrobes, walk-in closets, bathrooms, vanities and upgrading existing furniture.
  • Hospitality: hotel rooms and suites, reception desks, bar cabinetry, lounge areas, and spa facilities.
  • Commercial & retail: boutique stores, cafés, restaurants, galleries, and other design-led businesses.
  • Specialized installations: mirrored left/right pull pairs or oversized statement handles for architectural impact.

If you have a vision beyond these examples, we can explore tailored or fully bespoke options to bring it to life. Expect care, clarity, and calm delivery.

Feasibility Assessment

We review every request for fit, manufacturability, and schedule. We will reply promptly with what is feasible.

Case-by-case (subject to review):
• Longer runs / multi-room programs: larger quantities or multi-room installations may require staged production and extended lead times.
• Oversize or heavy pulls: extra-long lengths or deeper projections may need hardware verification (typically through-bolting).
• Materials beyond wood: stone/metal/glass often require specific fasteners and installer confirmation.
• Non-standard finishes/patinas: may require sampling and add time/cost.
• Tight clearances: appliance panels, accessibility requirements, or narrow reveals may require a one-page approval drawing to confirm fit and usability.

What We Need from You

Provide the basics up front so we can quote accurately and move straight to approvals. If you’re ordering from our standard sizes, no dimensions are needed.

If your project requires specific sizes, please include:

  • Dimensions (mm): overall length, center-to-center hole distance (C-to-C), projection. For sets, list each size + quantity.
  • Thickness & substrate: door/panel thickness; material (wood/stone/metal/glass).
  • Constraints: reveals, appliance clearances, accessibility requirements, site limitations.
  • Quantities & schedule: list how many pieces you need; where they will be installed; and when they must arrive on site.
  • Finish target: from our finishes palette (photos/references welcome).
  • Files: PDF/DWG mark-ups, or photos with a ruler/tape. (Vector logos optional for future engraving.)
  • Contacts: who approves drawings/specs, and installer/General Contractor contact.

Verified dimensions are required before production. We will confirm with a quick email sign-off, verbal approval, or a 1-page approval sheet when needed. Only then will we proceed with production.
Your installer verifies all site conditions. Including, dimensions (overall/C-to-C), door/panel thickness, material/substrate, hole locations and clearances. Also, selects the proper drilling/anchors, and completes installation. Glass must be pre-drilled.

Shop Drawings

For shop drawings a small fee may apply.

  • Most size adjustments can move forward once you confirm the dimensions by email (overall length, center-to-center hole distance = spacing between mounting holes, and projection).
  • If needed, we will prepare a one-page approval drawing that shows the key dimensions, hole details (hole size and screw type), and finish. This is usually sent within 2–3 business days, subject to schedule.
  • To approve, simply reply “Approved” by email. One minor revision is included if adjustments are needed.
  • Production lead time begins after we receive both: (1) your deposit, and (2) your written approval of the sizes or the approval drawing.
  • Already have your own PDF or CAD drawing? We are happy to work from that instead.
Lead Times

Quotes are typically issued in 2–5 business days.

Typical production is 2–8 weeks after deposit and final approvals (sizes/proofs/drawings/finish), depending on scope, complexity and quantities. In select cases, small straightforward adjustments can be completed in under 2 weeks, subject to capacity. If anything changes, we’ll advise immediately and issue a revised schedule.

Minimums may apply for trade/hospitality runs or complex setups.

Samples

What We Can Send
Finish chips and, when useful, one hardware sample (one piece). Samples illustrate tone/patina/texture/scale; minor variation is normal. Limits may apply (one per model per project/address).

  • Upfront: Client pays local courier; items are complimentary.
  • If you place an order within 90 days: we add the sample item to your order invoice.
  • If no order: items remain complimentary; courier already paid is not refunded.

Timing
Sampling can add time; we’ll confirm prep/dispatch when you request it.

Once dispatched, we are not responsible for delays, loss, or damage in transit.

Technical & Tolerances
  • Units: dimensions in mm (inches in parentheses).
  • Typical tolerance: ±1.0 mm (≈ ±0.039 in) on overall length, center-to-center hole distance, and projection. On request, we can target ±0.5 mm (≈ ±0.020 in) and, in select cases, ±0.3 mm (≈ ±0.012 in); feasibility is case-by-case and may affect quote/lead time.
  • Finish consistency: Mirror polish is produced to a visually identical appearance within the same order. Hand-applied patinas may show gentle tone/character variation—this is inherent to the craft and part of each piece’s uniqueness.
  • Extended lengths: For long pulls, we’ll recommend fixing points and hardware so the installed line reads clean and straight. For extra-long pieces, we may also suggest a discreet third contact point (center post) if needed.

Installation Guidance

We support installation with straightforward specs and guidance. Final installation is performed by your contractor/installer.

  • Cabinetry & furniture: standard wood screws will be supplied. Pre-drilled pilot holes are needed for installation.
  • Doors & appliance panels: pull handles only for now (door knobs coming soon). Your installer confirms door/panel thickness, selects the correct bolt length, and performs drilling/installation (glass must be pre-drilled prior installation).
  • Stone / metal / glass: fasteners and drilling methods are selected by the installer or glazier appropriate to the material.
  • Drilling info: we provide center-to-center hole distance (C-to-C) and projection.
  • Protection & tightening: use soft pads (nylon/fiber/felt) between hardware and the surface; tighten until snug—avoid over-tightening.

(Guidance for extra-long pulls lives in Technical & Tolerances → Extended lengths.)

BESPOKE SERVICES

Tailored Dimensions—precise size adjustments to our existing designs while preserving proportions. Coming soon: Monograms & Laser Engraving for discreet personalization and Fully Bespoke commissions developed from your brief with advanced CAD, prototyping, and casting.

Tailored Dimensions to Existing Designs — What Can Change

Dimensional adjustments to our existing designs: height, width, projection, and center-to-center hole distance. We preserve proportions and design intent. We only adjust dimensions in this tier.

Measuring & Specifying

Provide target dimensions in mm (and inches if helpful), plus drawings or annotated photos. For center-to-center hole distance, measure between the centers of existing holes.

Lead Times

Typical lead times are 2–6 weeks after approval and deposit, depending on the complexity of the design & the order conditions. In some cases, completion may be possible in under 2 weeks. Should any unforeseen variables arise, we will advise you immediately and provide a revised schedule with clarity. Minimums may apply based on complexity.

Changes & Cancellations

To initiate design work, a Design & Development Fee is invoiced (see §3.5). When you approve the design and authorize production, this fee is applied as a credit toward the 50% production deposit. If a project does not proceed to production (i.e., before approving design and authorizing materials/tooling), only the Design & Development Fee is retained and no production deposit is charged. If a project is cancelled after approval and materials/tooling have been ordered, the 50% production deposit—inclusive of the credited design fee—is non-refundable. As each commission is made to order, custom pieces are non-returnable and non-refundable once approved and produced, except in cases of proven defect in workmanship or material.

Fully Bespoke (Coming Soon)

Extreme detail and full personalization — from concept sketches to sculptural details. Developed from your brief, with complete design freedom in form, scale, and detail.

Typical journey: Brief & Consultation → Proposal & Quotation → Design Development (CAD) → Prototype Sample → Production → Delivery.

**Future capabilities will include advanced casting methods; these will enable sculptural details, figurative forms, and collaborations on functional art objects.

Special Surface Treatments & Finishes (Coming Soon)

Our finishing artistry extends beyond form into surface, color, and touch. Future offerings will include:

  • Patinas
  • Texturing
  • Hybrid Finishes
  • Hand Techniques

These treatments transform hardware into living surfaces—pieces that age gracefully, interact with light, and carry a distinct character unique to their commission.

Monograms & Laser Engraving (Coming Soon)

Available on flat or gently curved surfaces such as backplates, plaques, and select pulls. Vector artwork is preferred (SVG, AI, EPS, PDF), though we can also typeset initials upon request. A placement proof will be provided for approval prior to production. Depth and contrast vary subtly by alloy and finish, and we will advise on the most suitable approach for your piece.

VINTAGE RESTORATIONS

We assess and restore aged brass hardware, fixtures, accessories, and decorative pieces with careful cleaning, oxidation removal, and re-polishing. The finish is then protected with wax, a hand-rubbed sheen, or a clear coat. Minor mechanical fixes are possible; structural repairs are excluded. Availability is limited and accepted case-by-case.

What We Restore

Brass/bronze and select copper objects: hardware, lamps/lighting parts, plaques, small sculptures, decorative décor, architectural trim, etc. Small to large pieces accepted where handling/transport is possible. Musical instruments and other specialized mechanisms considered case-by-case after assessment. Welding or fabrication is not offered yet (coming soon). For now we focus on surface restoration: cleaning, oxide removal, careful re-polishing, and protective wax. Every item is evaluated individually for feasibility, cost, and expected results.

What to Send for Assessment

Clear, well-lit photos: front, back, edges, any damage, and a scale reference (ruler/coin). Include quantity (or note if part of a set), approximate size/weight, target look (reference photo if possible), and any deadline.

Process & What to Expect

We use controlled cleaning, and re-polishing to revive the surface while preserving original forms and crisp edges. A protective wax is applied at the end.

Limitations: permanent pits, deep scratches, softened engraving, metal loss, warping, or evidence of past repairs may remain visible. Heavy patina/staining will be cleared from primary surfaces; in deep crevices or protected recesses, subtle remnants may remain, kept to an absolute minimum and largely unnoticeable.

Finish & Care

We return pieces to their original look and protect the surface with a hand-applied museum-grade wax (no clear coats). All finishes naturally age with handling and environment; periodic re-waxing and gentle cleaning are expected for vintage pieces and are part of their character.

For detailed responsibilities, transit handling, and limitations, see Project Policies below.

Timing & Logistics

Turnaround depends on complexity and our schedule. Local options: in-person drop-off/pick-up is case by case only. Coordinated local courier (we can help arrange). Nationwide work is accepted where a reliable service reaches your location. If a carrier offers declared value/insurance, we can add it at cost. Pack carefully.

Heritage Reproductions (Coming Soon)

Beyond restoration, we will offer faithful reproductions of historic hardware, developed from original pieces, drawings, or photographs. This service preserves heritage design where originals are lost or beyond repair.
